This Privacy Policy describes how Pagevet Ltd handles information when you visit pagevet.com or install the Pagevet browser extension. We designed Pagevet around protecting vulnerable internet users. That philosophy extends to how we handle your information.
01 Information we collect via the website
When you visit pagevet.com, we may collect anonymous analytics (page views, referring site, approximate region) through cookies, only if you accept the cookie banner. If you email us or sign up for the Family plan, we store what you voluntarily provide: name, email address, and payment information (processed by Stripe; we never see your card number).
02 What the Pagevet extension does NOT collect
The Pagevet extension runs locally on your device. It does not:
- Track your browsing history or the URLs you visit
- Read the content of pages you visit (beyond checking the URL against a locally-cached reputation list)
- Collect your passwords, keystrokes, form inputs, or personal data
- Access cookies, localStorage, or session data from sites you visit
- Transmit any data to third-party services, advertisers, or data brokers
- Collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or precise geolocation
Our scam-detection list updates periodically by fetching a signed file over HTTPS. That is the only network activity the extension generates.
03 Family plan
Family-plan accounts store an email address, payment status, and the number of active installs (but not which devices). We use this to manage your subscription, not to profile you. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard.
04 Your rights
Under UK DPA 2018 and GDPR, you can ask us for a copy of any data we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. For free users of the extension, we typically hold no data about you at all. For Family-plan subscribers, you can export and delete from the dashboard directly. Or email privacy@pagevet.com.
05 Third-party services
Stripe handles payments. Plausible provides anonymous site analytics (no personal data). We do not use any other third-party tracking, advertising, or data-processing services.
06 Children's privacy
Pagevet is designed to be safe for a household, including children using a family member's device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a child in your household has personal information we've collected, email privacy@pagevet.com and we'll delete it.
07 Changes to this policy
We'll update the date at the top if this policy changes. Substantial changes will be emailed to Family-plan subscribers and announced on the site.
